• Hi there,

I tried to upgrade today from my very old version 1.3.0.3 of easy modal to the newest one. The modals are there, but the links I created to open them do not work anymore. Any ideas what I have to do to make this work again? I reverted back to 1.3.0.3 and it works fine again. But I would like to update and then likely move to popup maker. Just thought it’s better to update EM before I migrate things.
    Thanks,
    Sascha

@landwire – Hmm, upgrading to v2 should have migrated without any issues. You have the right idea though going to v2 then to Popup Maker. Can you upgrade again and post a link here where I can examine the issue? Sounds like either the loading settings( entire site / per page/post ) didn’t get updated properly and the modals simply may not be loaded on the pages you are trying to use them on or a JS error may be the cause.

    I have same issue

    Hi Daniel,
I did not see your reply until now. The site is local only right now, but I will put it online over the next few days and send you a link.

as i have same issue and my site is live… i can provide my live link.

@kashifkiduniya – Sorry for the delay, did either of you end up with a link we can look at?

    Hi Daniel,
sorry for the long delay on my side! Was only working locally up to now. Anyway, I looked at it and it was a JS error, that only occurred, after upgrading – likely because the modals are now loaded at the top/beginning. I had some code in some Gravity Forms inside the modals and I guess that was causing the issue. Took a while, but it is sorted now, by changing a few hooks, that I used.

One strange thing though: since updating, one modal (the first “eModal-1”) always has the class “custom-position”. How can I get rid of that?

You can see the class, when you inspect the element.
    Thanks,
    Sascha
