Upgrade issue
-
I’m trying to upgrade to 3.4.1.
When I click “Upgrade Automatically” from my WP dashboard, I’m prompted to a connection information page that asks for my hostname, username and password. I enter those and submit, and am directed to a page that shows this:
Downloading update from https://www.ads-software.com/wordpress-3.4.1.zip.
Unpacking the update.
Warning: copy(D:\Hosting\5306549\html/wp-admin/includes/update-core.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in D:\Hosting\5306549\html\wp-admin\includes\class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 205

I went through the process of trying to install manually, using this page as a guide: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Installing_WordPress, and by “I installed manually”, what I actually mean is “my tech-savvy, computer programer friend tried to install manually.” Still getting the same error above. We’ve poured a good three hours worth of troubleshooting into this, and I’m still without WP 3.4.1. Any suggestions?
