upgrade my Stripe integration from TLS 1.0 to TLS 1.2

Its related to server settings nothing specifically on plugin side

Your release notes indicated that this plugin ships official Stripe? 3.9.2 Library.

Would it be possible to indicate if you intend to update the version of the library file to its current one – 3.20.0

As according to https://support.stripe.com/questions/how-do-i-upgrade-my-stripe-integration-from-tls-1-0-to-tls-1-2 the library file needs to be 3.19 or above.

If you say so i will update library but it readily works on my server without upgrading any api library no idea what actually it is

@nazrulhassanmca I spent all weekend ensuring my servers were using TLS 1.2, and then went back to Stripe to ask them to check the requests. Below is their reply. As you can see, according to them, the issue IS with your plugin. Neither @mcork91 or myself is saying this, Stripe is. Thanks in advance for all your hard work:

I’d recommend upgrading the PHP library you’re using here to at least 3.19.0. https://github.com/stripe/stripe-php

If you’re using a plugin to talk payment you should reach out to the plugin author directly about upgrading their plugin to use a newer library version.

@nazrulhassanmca many thanks for taking this on its much appreciated as at present we can’t use this Stripe payment method on our online shop as it gives a TLS warning

@paul did you manage to implement a workaround for the current Stripe plugin or have your rolled it out yet?

Older versions of the client library, for sure. Upgrading the plugin seems to fix it.

I’m having this issue too and I’m working on a brand new site. I just downloaded this plugin.

What is the solution here? Paul, just updating to the latest version of the plugin worked for you here?

I’m on version 3.0.6 of the plugin.

I’m having the same issue on version 3.0.7 of the plugin. My connection is secure and using TLS 1.2, but I get the following message from Stripe : Stripe no longer supports API requests made with TLS 1.0. Please initiate HTTPS connections with TLS 1.2 or later. You can learn more about this at https://stripe.com/blog/upgrading-tls.
Does any one know how to fix this ?
