Upgrade possibly causes theme break

  • I’m running WordPress 4.2.2 running ColorMag Pro theme. I was informed that When I’m posting to look on the right sidebar at the top and go to sharing options (Which I do not see) and add my passwords for my social media accounts. This will allow me to customize my Twitter or FB posts withing the post that I’m currently writing then it will auto-post to social networks that are connected.

    I was told if I did not see those options that I should install the Jetpack plugin. I tried Installing it after not seeing those options and am being prompted to install the latest version of WordPress 4.5.2. I was advised that my site might break if I upgrade. Can someone assist me with this, please?
