Upgrade redirect causing admin issues

There is a redirect within the plugin that is causing plugin updates to error out as well as confusing site administrators. I understand that the desire is to encourage people to upgrade but it’s creating issues throughout the admin. Please consider removing this as it gives the impression that the site is broken when your plugin is installed. The redirect takes place here:
