upgrade resulted in wp-admin loop

  • Hi
    After the update to the most currect version of WP I am unable to do anything in wp-admin as I get a loop to:
    https://www.houseofretouching.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F

    I have downloaded the current wp and overwritten:
    /www/houseofretouching.com/wp-admin/update-core.php
    /www/houseofretouching.com/wp-admin/update.php
    /www/houseofretouching.com/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php
    /www/houseofretouching.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php
    and the whole
    /www/houseofretouching.com/wp-includes

    I also repaired the tables in phpmyadmin
    all with no luck.

    Server running: Software version: 5.6.28-76.1-log – PLD/Linux Distribution MySQL RPM
    Frontend is working fine.

    I pretty much ran out of ideas. Help very much appreciated!

    Still no idea. Any suggestions?
    Which other areas of the website should I try to copy from a fresh install? Or would this be a problem within the database which I should fix in myphpadmin?
