• Hello all,

I just upgraded my website from 2.5 to 2.6. Now my website is not showing at all (I can access the admin panel though). I right click and there’s not even any source code for the index page. Help?

    Thanks!

I’m having a similar problem, though I can’t get past the login. url: https://www.digitalimagemagazine.com/blog

You see just a white screen.

I just kept getting the login page, so I went in to myPHPadmin and changed the password. Now I get invalid password. Blog is nonfunctional.

I’m guessing I was supposed to log out before upgrading?

    Hi,

I’ve got the same problem… When I try to login in after updating i receive a blank screen, in the address bar the following:

    …./wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fnzoz%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit.php

I also got a blank page after upgrading to v2.6 …
Eventually realized that in the new (to me) wp-config.php secret key phrases, I’d “made something up” as suggested – but I’d typed a “‘” when I typed “It’s” – deleting that quote mark fixed my issue.

    Hi,

BobNolin – looks like your site is ok?

And the rest of you, did you checkj samboll link?

    kmessinger –

Yes, the site is up, though I’m having some clean up to do. I ended up doing a clean install of 2.6, not an upgrade. Then I re-applied my theme, config to that. Created a new password, but not sure if that was necessary. Somewhere in here I found a command that logged me off (finally). I would recommend logging off BEFORE starting the upgrade.

    Hi Bob,

Can I ask: whwn you mentioned the clean install of 2.6 (not upgrade), did you mean you:

    1. create a new install of wordpress (v2.6) to a new directory
    2. create a new database for this new blog
    3. imported?? your database from your original blog??

Also, is the import process fairly easy (I have not restored a blog or imported into a blog before)

    Thanks for clarifing!

    Or Bob, did you:

    1. rename your original blog directory to something else
    2. create a new install of wordpress (v2.6) to a directory where your blog is supposed to be
    2. create a new database for this new blog
    3. imported your original database to here?

By installing a second wordpress installation to the directory where the blog is supposed to be, (the first being the original installation) does this cause some kind of conflict? (or is it ok because you renamed the original directory where the blog was at)

    Thanks!

    Sorry

    but what’s the solution?

it’s just written what i can be, but how can it be resolved

I got the white screen problem also, but realized it was because I had to upload my theme. That solved some of it, but now my front page only shows the title of the first post and nothing more.

    Any ideas?

I solved my problem. I had the “author image” plugin installed in my old version and had to upload and reactivate it in the new version.
