Upgrade to 2.8.2 how much attention to the Theme

  • I am updating from 2.7.1 to 2.8.2 and am using a custom theme. Should I be looking at the theme during the upgrade and how would I know how the theme should be modified?

    The automatic upgrade doesn’t work due to the way the server is set up, however, I am also wondering if the auto upgrade does update custom themes or not….

  • look at the theme author’s site to see if it is version compatible
    upgrades will upgrade the classic and default theme files

    If a theme is compatible with 2.8 and I update to 2.8.5 should this be ok?
