  • Try and deactivate plugins and see if that solves your problem

How do I deactivate plugins when I can’t log in to WordPress?

deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). –
Using Ftp rename plugins folder to say plugins-hold and create a blank plugins folder then try logging in

If you can log in you will see all plugins deactivated go back in ftp delete the blank plugins folder and rename plugins-hold back to plugins.

Activate and update one plugin at time to see which one is causing the problem

Using ftp try and replace wp-includes folder

You are welcome as long as the problem got solved.

Actually what I thought was a fix was half a fix – my site is now live but when I log in I get this message
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare iis7_supports_permalinks() (previously declared in /home/markhodg/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php:3476) in /home/markhodg/public_html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 403

So you are using a window server it is known that some window server do give problems using permalinks.

    I’ve got the same problem.
Was working fine 2 days ago. I suppose my provider made some changes …

How to change permalinks settings when we don’t have access to the dashboard?

    Thanks

    I have this problem too.

I tried renaming plugins folder, replacing wp-settings… didn’t work. Any ideas??!!
