Upgrade to 3.1.1. causing SLLOOOWWW loading

    I’ve been having serious difficulty with my site since upgrading to 3.1.1.

    I’m also running Thesis theme – and have turned off the slider – and then reinstalled 3.1.1. to no good effect.

    Any ideas?

    How do I downgrade back to 3.1?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks Esmi,
    I have deactivated everything and did try the switch to 2010. I also deleted the extra addon and subdomains I’d recently installed as well as Google Analytics.

    I then reinstalled 3.1.1 and went for a run. Things are running more quickly now, so I’ll try reactivating things very slowly to see what the effects are.

    On the up-side, it made me declutter some things.
