    Hi,

The error you are getting is an SSL error. I described this for someone else a while ago and their solution was to change a setting in Jetpack. See https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/images-disappearing-from-posts-homepage/ for details.

Their solution was as follows: I did stumble across a setting on Jetpack which said “Serve images from our server” and I just switched that off and now all of the images are showing up again.

Hope that points you in the right direction.

    Kind regards,
    Joey

    Hey,

Try clearing your cache or a hard refresh of the page. I was getting hundreds of errors in the console before but now I’m looking and seeing only 1 which isn’t an image error. Images appear to be loading fine.

I cleared the cache, closed the browser, reloaded. Still no images on the homepage.

Do you see images when you open my site?

Thanks Joey. I see that too, however, there are several pictures missing above that area. I should see my editor’s logo and the pictures for the series spotlight, as well as images for the recently read. None of the them are there. Only blank boxes. I guess I can’t update wordpress right now if no one can tell me why this happened. Everything was fine when I upgraded the plugins. When I upgraded wordpress, that’s when they disappeared. Is there no way of knowing why this happened?

Sorry I’m not sure how to assist further. According to the console every image that is requested on this page is being loaded as it should be.

In your screenshot you only show me the slider images. Do you see the editor’s image or the images underneath the series spotlight or the ones for the recently read posts? Do you see these or do you see blank boxes like I do?

You may be getting a message that they are loading, but do you see them is what I’m trying to find out.

Thanks so much for your help.

It’s not that I’m saying the images are showing how they should. What I mean is when I checked for errors you had many 404 errors (file not found) for images before. Now these are all gone, so maybe the requests aren’t being made for some reason but as far as the browser is concerned all images that are being requested are being returned on that page. If you right-click and inspect on elements that you expect to show an image you can see the HTML for that element and hopefully determine what is missing. Obviously, I do not know exactly how you expect this page to look.

Here is a full screenshot of the page:

    Hope that helps some ??
