Upgrade to 4.0 gives fatal error on login

Please open a new issue for this, as it’s unlikely the same problem as the one from the thread opener.

Before that, you may check the errorlog of your webbrowser for additional info. If you install is not public or very low frequented, you can define( 'WP_DEBUG', true ); in your wp_config.php to get debug-messages.
All of that may help getting relevant answers. You may post a link here, where we can follow up your issue.
