Upgrade to fontawesome 5?

    Hi guys,

    Will it be possible to upgrade to fontawesome v5 in the next update? Their new system using SVGs is smaller and more lightweight. Also it will be helpful for users who are already using fontawesome on their overall site but can’t upgrade because of plugins that still use v4 syntax.

    Yes, we want to upgrade FontAwesome to version 5. But we’ll wait a bit.

    We already tried this but the problem is that many other plugins and themes still use FontAwesome version 4 and as a result if we load version 5 into the website, it conflicts. Many of the class names on the icons have changed so it breaks some of the icons being used by other plugins or the theme.

    This is currently still on our development list.

    Ah ok, no problems. That makes sense. Looking forward to the eventual upgrade.
