Meta descriptions are not a part of WordPress itself. What plugin were you using to provide that functionality?

yoast seo, the seo framework, NOT AT THE SAME TIME!!! ?? but even with the updated versions of them they don’t show the description. Yoast won’t touch it, the seo framework plugin has no suggestions, it’s not the theme since i changed it to the twenty-sixteen theme to try it as well. like i said the descriptors are in the source so their in there but google and places like facebook won’t read the descriptors

also the problems appear on some pages but not others. also google is not reading the descriptors as well. i have checked settings between two pages (one working the other not) and both have the same (descriptions and title’s are different) tags in them

It’s up to the plugin authors to ensure their product works, part of the reason public beta are made available at least a month before final release.

In this case, I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wordpress-seo#postform so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
