Upgrade turns home page into archives?

  • Just upgraded to latest WPTouch through plugins page and it appears to have turned the home page into an archives page with an excerpt for each post and a link to read the rest of the story. I disabled the plugin and it returned to normal. Tried clearing the cache but it didn’t help (wp rocket).

  • What do you have your homepage and Posts Page set to in WordPress’ Reading Settings?

    WPtouch can either: use your WordPress settings, or you can specify different ones for WPtouch.

    So be sure to check that WPtouch’s settings for those two pages are left to “WordPress Settings” in your case.

    The Reading settings has the option “Front page displays” and that’s set to “Your latest posts”. That has not been changed. In WPTouch its set to use WordPress Reading settings. Its still a problem. The home page looks like an Archives page with every post showing an excerpt and a link to read more. Also, on the mobile home page there is a large, dark block above the posts. And on the individual post pages, it displays and excerpt and a read more link.

    Nothing was changed except upgrading WPTouch from its update link on the plugins page. I’d love to show it to you but that’s too much of a mess to leave as-is. Love the plugin – hope you have ideas.
