"Upgrade WordPress" button missing in WP 3.4.2

    We are currently up and running using WP 3.4.2 and we need to upgrade to 4.1.
    There is no update button under Home or any other link to do that.
    Has anyone seen this before? Is there something I am missing? I am pretty new at WP so I appreciate the help.
