Upgrade WP

  • I would like to know if my theme files will change when I upgrade my WP. This becouse I have cutomize my theme.. then I wouldn’t lose anything with a upgrade.
    Please let me know.

  • If you have customized the default or classic wordpress themes then when your uploading the new version just skip the wp-content/themes folder and it won’t overwrite your customizations but then you might run into the fact that you’ll have to fix problems when wordpress updates some of the template tags. If it’s not the default of classic theme then your safe to upgrade as usual.

    Ok, then with custom templates I will not have a fully protected and fixed WP (as the last stable)?

    Usually the problems aren’t with the default themes, so you would have a safe install.
