• Hello.

I upgraded from WP 2.02 to 2.7.1, basically without a major hitch. First, thanks to the people who make this possible. The upgrade is very nice indeed. Great job.

There are just 2 slight problems:

    1) In the Dashboard, in the upper right, the drop-down menu that says, “New Post” is a bit out of place and is on top of where it says, “Howdy, My Name, and Log Out.” That is, it’s on top of it and blocking it. How can I fix this?

    2) I have the WP-Cache plug-in activated. When I select it from the Settings menu, I get this message:

    > WP-Cache Manager
Main optionsadvanced-cache.php link does not exist
    Create it by executing:
    ln -s /fontanablog/wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php /fontanablog/wp-content/advanced-cache.php
    in your server
Cannot continue… fix previous problems and retry. <

How do I execute the above command in my server?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • heya dom,

your site is hosted on a windows server, you cant execute that command.

that plugin is outdated too, you might want to try this replacement by the same author:

Thank you very much. I’ll try that right now.

Do you know anything about problem #1 above? The formatting just seems to be a bit off.

Thanks, whooami. I tried the super-cache replacement plug-in and it works perfectly.

Before I mark this as “Resolved,” I just need to fix this:

    1) In the Dashboard, in the upper right, the drop-down menu that says, “New Post” is a bit out of place and is on top of where it says, “Howdy, My Name, and Log Out.” That is, it’s on top of it and blocking it. How can I fix this?

    Thanks.
