When I try to login or look at my blog I see:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_shortcode() in /mnt/w0711/d09/s27/b0275c7c/www/ldscoloringpages.net/WPblog/wp-content/themes/veryplaintxt/functions.php on line 693

I am sure this is all my own stupid fault because I forgot to disable the theme before I deleted the old theme files and uploaded the new ones.

    What do I do now?

By the way, I still need to upgrade to the latest version of WordPress. I am considering doing an upgrade to attempt to fix this problem, but I cannot make a backup or disable my plug-ins since I cannot login.

    Thanks in advance.

  • you are trying to use a theme that is calling fucntions that were introduced in 2.5

    you are using 2.3.x

you can disable plugins because you can disable by deleting them via your ftp.

You can disable this theme, because you can go in with your ftp client, and delete the theme files — if you still have the default theme available, WP sees this, and loads the default theme.
