I have been using Backup Guard for a while, and today I upgraded to version 1.2.6. After the upgrade, the Manual Backup option no longer works. I blue “Backup” button, and the animated spinner ring spins for a second or two and then nothing.

Typically it should open a modal window with backup options, but now it’s just dead. Each time I click the Backup button, I get the spinner for a second and then nothing. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the plugin, but it did not help.

When I check my browser dev console I see the following errors when I click the Backup button:

DevTools failed to parse SourceMap: chrome-extension://hdokiejnpimakedhajhdlcegeplioahd/sourcemaps/onloadwff.js.map

    Error 403:
    VM1356:1 GET https://lostresmagueyesrolesville.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?param=&backupType=2&action=backup_guard_modalManualBackup 403

How can I fix this issue and get my manual backups working again? Thanks in advance!

    Dear @chiefbobo,

If you have tried to update the plugin from 1.9.1 version to 1.2.6 version, this can be a cache issue.
Please, try to check via Incognito window.

Also, we have a new update, 1.2.7, you can now update to the latest version and recheck the results.
