Upgraded to 2.8.2 – Changed theme – nothing works anymore! White screen!!

Is url.com really your web address?

Did you disable your plugins before you upgraded?

If not, you need to disable them and then see if you can login…see the following video on how to do this through phpMyAdmin.

No, it was supposed to mean like “my url” .

Well the actual upgrade was okay, but when I tried to change the theme afterwards everything stopped working.

Okay, so maybe it’s an incompatable theme…ftp to your site and either rename the theme you switched to or delete it…that should cause your site to default back to the default theme.

or…just try to add /wp-admin to the end of your url and see if you get the login page. That’s why it helps if people actually post a real link to their site…quite often takes a lot of the guess work out of helping them.

It was actually the problem with the plugins but it didn’t appear until I tried to activate a new theme.
