Upgraded to Version 2.0.17

  • Hi,

    Upgraded to 2.0.17 now not sure how to change the sort order of gallery.

    I see you guys have your hands full so if anyone else knows how to change the sort order then please step this way.

    Good luck with the bug fixing. I would roll back to a previous version but scared to lose all the thousands of galleries on my live sites.

    Hi Chris: there are several ways to change sort order. You can set a global sort order by going to Gallery > Other Options > Image Options. If you select, say ascending by filename, that will apply to all galleries.

    You can also sort the images in your galleries by going to Gallery > Manage Galleries, and sorting the images there.

    Finally, you can sort images on a gallery by gallery basis within the NextGEN pop-up window on each page/post. At the bottom of the Display tab, just click the sort/exclude accordion.
    – A note here. We’ve had reports that after being resorted a few times, this sorting stops fully sticking. We’re looking into that. It only applies to drag and sort. if you click ascending, descending, etc, that will work fine.
