Upgrade/Renew/Cancel subscription plan

    Hi,

    I have added [renewform] to a page name RENEW YOUR PLAN and it shows my current plan status and option to upgrade but if i click on UPGRADE then it automatically upgrade to new plan and doesn’t even ask for PAYMENT.

    Example:
    I have 3 plan: 1) Basic $100 2) Medium $200 3) Pro $300
    i have currently activated plan $100 Basic but if i go to RENEW YOUR PLAN page and click on UPGRADE option for Medium $200 then it just update my plan and doesn’t ask to pay $200. and subscribe for both plan. which should not happen at all. Please help what can be wrong for it.

    I used these 2 shortcode [renewform] [upgradeform] to show form of Upgrade. is there any other way to show upgrade form which ask for payment first.?

    in short i have 3 questions:

    1) While Upgrading Subscription Plan it should ask for payment.
    2) It assign a access level after purchasing a plan, how can we change access level for user after registration (automatcially, not manually).
    3) Do we need to use [upgradeform] and [renewform] on different page to show current plan and option to upgrade and renew both?

    i’m not sure if i’m making any mistake. could you please suggest?

    First of all, which payment gateway do you have set up?

    i’m using PayPal Single Payments Gateway.
    could you please suggest which one to use for it.?

    Single Payments is only for Single Payments. To manage upgrades you need to use PayPal Express.

    Thank you mike for your reply ?? It worked with it but my client doesnt want to use Paypal is there any alternative for it? that works same.
    Currently i can see these are avilables:
    1) Authorize.net gateway
    2) Free subscriptions gateway
    3) 2Checkout payment plugin

    my requirements are for new Gateway:
    1) It should help to Update plan Automatically (optional)
    2) Upgrade/Renew Option with avilable plans
    3) Confirmation of change in plan by email

    can i change its currency to Naira(N)?

    Hi @iamthukral

    PayPal can candle all of these things and would be the best option. If they don’t want to use it then it might be worth looking into using something like Stripe. However any new gateway will have to be added manually, we couldn’t do this for you I’m afraid.

    Hi Mike,

    We used 2checkout payment gateway but it doesn’t change status level of membership plugin back to site. doest it? as we discussed paypal express works fine. i used 2checkout in demo mode, is that the reason?. any suggestion?

    I hope you are well today and thanks for your question.

    Sorry about the delay here.

    Using the 2checkout payment gateway, when a users cancels at the end of their remaining membership period the subscription should be removed.

    This may not work as desired in sandbox modes, I’d advise testing in live mode and it should work great ??
