upgrading from 2.0

I need to upgrade WordPress to resolve this issue.

I tried going from 2.0.2 to 2.3.3 – this is the version my hosting provider (StartLogic) supports. Unfortunately the database upgrade script did not seem to work.

My hunch is that I need a “consolidated” upgrade script that will perform all of the intermediate steps required. Am I correct here, and if so, has anyone assembled such a script?

I have read about various plugins that handle upgrades automatically, but I am skeptical that these will meet my needs.
