Upgrading from Version 0.9.2.7

When I try to upgrade from Version 0.9.2.7 to 0.9.2.8, I get the following error message:

Download failed. Could not open handle for fopen() to /var/chroot/home/content/19/7561419/tmp/w3-total-cache.tmpI’ve tried upgrading two different ways:
1.) In the Installed Plugins page, I clicked on “upgrade;”
2.) I’ve also deactivated W3 and tried uploading the w3-total-cache-0.9.2.8.zip file.Any ideas?
