Upgrading from WP 5.4 > WP 5.5

  • Hi, I am updating an old site major release by release and when I get to WP 5.5 I am getting a JS error thrown out. I was wondering if anyone knows what this means?

    Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: .navigation a[href*=#”+rnrSection+”]

    related to the following line:

    jQuery(".navigation a[href*=#"+rnrSection+"]").parent().addClass("active");
