Upgrading plugin Breaks Theme

We updated to the latest version of the plugin, When we refresh the homepage all content is gone and we get a Theme configuration page. Disabling The Events Calendar plugin restores the content but obviously breaks the calendar. The Theme is Themefuse Life and Style, the latest version.
