Upgrading plugin errors

  • I upgraded to 3.0. Now, when I try to upgrade a plugin, my IP keeps getting blocked and I am getting this message when trying to access admin or my blog:

    Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

    This is very annoying and time consuming. My host is a doll, thank goodness, but this needs to be addressed, please! WTH???? Why exactly did I upgrade to 3.0???????????
