Upgrading plugin from accordion block recovery issues
-
I am running into the same issue mentioned in other support threads about the accordion breaking when the plugin is updated. I see the Block Recovery button and it’s very erratic if it keeps the contents of the accordions or set it to Content 1. The error in the JS Console is “Block validation: Block validation failed for
aab/accordion-item
Here is the related issue which is resolved by your latest release:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/problems-after-eeeeevery-update/The very odd part for our use case is that this issue occurred without performing any upgrades to the plugin. We installed version 4.7.2 on our staging environment without issues mid november 2024 for a month and the installed the same version on our production environment in mid December 2024. Yesterday our content editor attempted to do some adjustments with the styles and we began having this issue with the error mentioned above. Today, I did some testing and it is working again after I “fixed” the issue reverting things to a copy of the contents i had somewhere else using the code editor in gutenberg.
If i upgrade the plugin to the latest version, I will run into the block recovery issues. Tested this on a local and staging environment on our server.
Is there a solution to this issue with existing accordions created from older versions prior to 4.7.4 (which is where you patched the issue) aside from recreating them?
Thanks
