Upgrading problem with 2.1

  • I’ve come acorss a problem while upgrading my blog. I backed up all of my files; then I delated them. I then uploaded the new files and went to make dinner. My husband got on the computer and delated my backup from the desktop he thought it was spam that had gotten onto our computer.

    But anyways I did the upgrade and now all of my posts & pages are gone. But my categories still show that there are ## posts made in them. Example: the category Rant says it had 13 posts in it. But they won’t show.

    I know I’ve already lost all of my posts from before but how can I fix the Categories?

    I am getting this error under the categories

    WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘link_count’ in ‘where clause’]
    SELECT * FROM wp_categories WHERE cat_ID > 0 AND link_count > 0 ORDER BY cat_name ASC

    And I’ve just noticed that I get this error

    Under Categories where you write the posts.
