In theory, it should be possible to go directly from 2.0.3 to 2.6.3, but you’ve got backups…

And you’ve read Upgrading WordPress Extended, correct?

But, to paraphrase what whoomai is suggesting (see samboll’s link above), disable plugins, change to the WordPress Default theme, then upgrade first to 2.1.3, then to 2.3.3, and finally to 2.6.3. That should work also, but you have backups, correct?

Thanks for the replies, got it all updated to the current version yesterday without any issues following whooami’s instrustions. Just have to play with the sidebar a little bit and I am finished.
