• So I have a site up using a free theme. I noticed there was some options I needed that were included in the “Pro” version of the theme which I would need to pay for. I paid for the upgrade and was sent instructions in broken English asking me to uninstall the “lite” theme, then to install the “Pro” version of the theme and activate it.

The issue is going to be that this new theme is not going to retain any of the content, media, changes etc that I created when making the original site.

How can I migrate the data from the site that was created under the lite theme over to the pro theme? Is there a migration path?

The theme devs communication and support is not the best either. I need to get this done.

    Thanks!

please contact the developer/vendor directly for support with your question. You’ll be more likely to find a good answer from them, for they have the access to its code. Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial/custom products, so they would not know why your /custom/commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. The developers/vendors are responsible for supporting their custom/commercial product. See https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products

Is there a proper channel to file a complaint when the developer is not responding to support requests?

If you want to migrate whole data from one website to another and another site is in another host then tell hosting support people to do that , they will migrate everything and you only need to change setting.

All I am doing is upgrading a theme from a free version to a paid for version. Same host , same website. I just need the data saved to the free theme migrated over to the paid version of the theme as they are 2 different installations. The developer is not responding to my questions.
