On my standalone WP instance when I log in I get notices to upgrade to the new version (although via a notice opposed to in the plugin ‘update’ section).

In my multisite at either network admin or an individual site I don’t get any notice at all.

The multisite is currently on 1.10.11

Am I missing something or has no upgrade mechanism been built in for Multisite / supposed to upgrade it some other way / not compatible?

    Thanks

    Mike

  • Hi,
I am having a similar issue. I have live and dev sites, both multisites. One received the update notification, the other doesn’t, no matter how often I check again for updates.

The plugin is not network activated on either site (live or dev) and is only active in one site in each.

Since my upgrade would be from 1.10.11 standard to 2.06 standard, I am nervous about doing a manual upgrade. Will a manual upgrade work the same? ie. deactiveate plugin, upload new via ftp then activate?

Many thanks, I would like to get this done as it is working fine in my dev site.

    Thanks,
    LIz

If you want to do a manual upgrade, see this document:

    https://time.ly/document/troubleshooting/perform-manual-upgrade/

Specifically, note the deleting of uninstall.php, which stops the plugin from removing the database entries and tables containing any events you might have, etc.
