• Hi.
I was trying to upgrade to 3.0 and when i logged in afterwards it did not work.
    I got this Error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object in …/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 289

    Can anyone help me.

Reset your plugins then upgrade the Podcasting Plugin by TSG to 2.3.10 before reactivating it.

    Thanks.
I did reset all the plugins and now I can log in again.
    Nothing was lost.
    What a relief!
But I have quite a lot of Plugins. And I still have not figured out which one is responsible…

    Hi

    I can’t upgrade to WordPress 3.0

    my wordpress is 2.9.2

i got this message below :

You are not allowed to call this page directly.

I had the same problem as markus and was able to sort it by renaming the plugins FTP folder, so thanks for the link macmanx.

Although I still have the same problem and am not sure which plugin is responsible

I’ve had the same. As my sites are so heavily reliant on plugins I can’t afford to just shut them down if there’s a conflict. I’ve gone back to 2.9 and think I’ll wait to do the upgrade until the plugin developers have ‘caught up’.

I reinstalled 2.9.2 and all is back to normal now.
