Upgrading to ver 2.8 causes 500 internal server error

  • Just updated to ver 2.8 and it causes an 500 error.

    Had done the following for basic debug:
    – I have the wpbf pro installed as well. Had deactivated and uninstalled the latest 2.7.7 pro plugin and error remains.

    – Rolled back theme to 2.7.0.5 without 2.7.7 plugin and the issue is resolved.

    – Rolled back theme to 2.7.0.5 and reactivated 2.7.7 plugin and no issues at all.

    Narrowed down that ver 2.8 theme is the issue here.

    We haven’t had similar reports so far. Can you please try to turn on debugging and see if we get any errors?

    Can you try to increase tha max_allowed_packet?

    Had tried increasing the max_allowed_packet on mariaDB. Doesn’t solve it for me. I will look into this further. Will make do with with version 2.7.0.5 for the theme for now.
