Upgrading WordPress Version

  • Hi,

    I want to upgrade my wordpress version and wonder what type of files and content will it affect. What should I do for keeping all the uploads and files save?

    Currently I am using WP 3.1.1 and what to upgrade to 3.6.1

  • The upgrade will not touch your site’s contents or uploaded files. However, as you have such an old version of WordPress, you will need to carry out a series of smaller manual upgrades. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.
