• Okay, I’m am relatively new to web design, but have been driven to develop my website. I want to add a blog to my page. I downloaded the folder for WP, altered the the config, and went to upload onto my webserver, but couldnt upload the folder as a whole. Do I upload the contents one file at a time?

  • Do you use cpanel? If so zip up the wordpress files and folders, upload it using cpanel to where you want them to be and then click on the zip file and click unzip.

If not try either SmartFTP (https://www.smartftp.com/) for windows or if you use Firefox use the Fire ftp plugin: https://fireftp.mozdev.org/

And then just follow the instructions for uploading folders.

I use cPixel, I started a host and user under MySQL Databases. Do I upload the folder using my File Manager, just like every other file for my website? When I tried that, the zip. file wouldn’t show up as an option to upload.

Also, I don’t want this to be on my home page for my site, I want the blog to be on a seperate page (same domain). This will be faily easy yes?
