• Hi,

    I’d like to upload the ‘clicky’ plug-in to my blog but I really don’t know how to upload to the blog. Usually just select ‘install’ from the Plug-in page here.

    This what happens when things are too easy…

    Please advise.
    Thanx,
    Tom Dolan

  • Go to WP-ADMIN -> Plugins

    In the search bar type “clicky” and you should be able to find it. Then click install.

    Does that work?

    If not you need to FTP the files into the wp-content/plugins/ directory.

    Hi wpbum,

    Thanx for the advice. Don’t know how I missed that, but I did so thanx for commin’ to the rescue. It worked perfectly. Now while I have your attention could I presume to ask another niggling question?

    I don’t use ftp often and am always amazed when it’s successful. So how would you advise me to use it if I must ftp to my wp blog. i have several free ftp services, the latest being- cyberduck.

    Thanks for any info you send,
    Tom

    I recommend using Cyberduck, I think it’s the best Mac-based free FTP client available. If you have to manually install plugins via FTP, follow this guide:

    Hi macmanx,

    I checked it out and it’s helpful. Thank you… and too I’m glad I choose Cyberduck, but I’m still not sure how to use it to upload to my blog. Would the address be something like: https://www.tomjdolan.com/plugins or something else?

    Thanx for your interest.

    You’ll have to get your FTP connection details from your hosting provider.
