• Awesome block!! Should be in core for sure. Only thing i miss is the option to upload to or pick a .svg file from the media library! Any plans to add this please?

    Hi @nicmare,

Currently, you would have to use the Custom Icon option and copy and paste the SVG code directly. However, improving this experience is definitely on the roadmap. I think it would be neat if you could drag an SVG file onto the block, and it would auto-insert, much like the Image block does for image files. Selecting from the Media Library might also be an option, but I don’t believe WordPress permits SVGs to be uploaded to the Library by default.

Thank you for the feature requests and kind feedback on the plugin.

    Best,
    Nick

uploading svgs in wordpress is no problem. there are a lot of options. even several themes already support it. I created my own icon-block with the help of ACF Pro. you may want to loom it: https://www.loom.com/share/8bc643e3639e4d9a8aeed5f6e8b00d8f
but i have to admit your icon block looks a lot better except it does not support the media library at the moment :-(. But a drag and drop function directly in block editor would be awesome!
