Upload directory

    my webserver has a directory, /var/www/html/bin, where all of the random stuff I upload goes. I want WP to upload content to
    /bin. (the ./bin folder in the web root directory.) however, when i set this in the options, it created a folder in the blog directory, /var/www/html/blog/bin. I want WP to put files in /var/www/html/bin. How!

  • the wordpress upload directory is determined relative to where wp is installed. In other words, within the wp directory structure, not outside of it.

    I dont know, but I thought i would explain what you’re seeing anyway.
