Upload does not generate thumbnails

    Hi.

    I have an issue while uploading images to the site.

    I have tried uploading images in every way possible to my WordPress installation and have had no success with this issue. When I upload an image the thumbnails aren’t generated. The URL to the thumbnail is generated, but with a strange issue, the url is as if it were uploaded last year in the previous month (October 2015) at the time of writing. But still the actual image file is not generated, not in the correct path (2016/11) nor in the generated URL path (2015/10).

    I have uploaded images in the past with no problems. The original image get’s uploaded just fine.

    My server is an Ubuntu with PHP7 and Apache 2.4. I have the GD extension and the upload directory has correct permission (755). I have tried setting the permissions to 777, but it did not work either.

    There is also something strange about this, because with my local install (4.5.4) I am also experiencing the same issue. The DB’s are totally different, between production and local.

    I would perform a manual install on both the local machine and server.

    That just means to delete all root files except wp-config.php and the folders /includes and /wp-admin, then upload those files from a fresh download of the WP version installed.

    Of course, always take a full backup of files and db prior.

    Hi. Thanks for the answer, but this did not work. The thumbnails aren’t generated and the upload folder is the wrong one. Both in my local install and my server it generates the thumbnail URL (and the actual image URL) in 2015/10. The image does get uploaded to the uploads folder, but no thumbnails generated.

    Any ideas?

    It seems the problem was generated by this plugin.

    It is really good to speed up how WordPress handles translation files, but it generates an issue while uploading images.
