Upload files works only on the main site

  • Hi
    i wonder if someone can point me into the right way. everything is working fine with my wordpress multiuser except the upload medai or the media library. when i upload it works and the file gets into the server but the link does not work and it does not show a thumbnail on the media library. it works only on the main site but not on the other sites. i already have the blogs.dir folder with the right rights on it. any help will be appriciated.

    Are you on WPMU, or WordPress 3 with Multisite enabled? This sounds like a problem with the URL rewriting rules for uploaded files in your .htaccess file. One possibility: if you’re on V3, and have a rewrite rule with wp-content/blogs.php in it, that will need changed to wp-includes/ms-files.php.
