Upload folder is not created

Hi

When I upload an image in WordPress, it doesn’t create the 2008 folder (and the required subfolders) to place the file in them. So my file doesn’t get saved on the server.

I have tried this on two installations, one on Windows + Apache, the other on Linux + Apache. What is the solution for each/both?
