Upload Image, Makes Option Tree Go Blank

    Hi there,
    So I’ve used Option Tree all week, working on a new site. Uploading images has been and works fine in the header and homepage options.

    My problem is just in the past couple of hours, I upload an image using the WP uploader while in Option tree, trying to change the header or footer image. The upload works fine, but when I choose “Insert into Post” Option Tree turns white and nothing happens. I tried it in Chrome and Firefox. Also, it worked a few hours ago, but seems to have stopped working.

    Does anyone know what’s going on? I tried deactivated/reactivating the plugin as well, but it didn’t change anything.

    Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Just found this thread because I was having a similar problem with Option Tree hanging. In my case it happened after transferring from a local host to a remote host.

    Everything went fine until I imported the XML file back into OT. Thats when it hung. Didn’t seem to effect the public view of the site as it loaded images/logo just fine, it just locked me out of the admin view.

    I figured rather than get a headache trying to figure it out I would completely blow the site and WP install away and start again. Before I did of course I exported all the content I had created to XML.

    I went through a fresh install procedure and this time rather than import my XML file back to OT, I set everything up from scratch (upload logo, banners, colours etc). I then imported all my content back into WP and everything worked as it should.

    My only assumption is that the exported XML/options from my local setup of OT had a reference to the absolute URL of my local server and that was screwing it up. Once installed fresh on the remote and options manually placed back in it works.

    May not help those with similar issues but I thought I would just relay my experience. Good luck.

    OptionTree 2.0 is now available and this should be fixed.

    Thanks for the update, Derek. You’ve been very busy.

    The new plugin looks great and much improved. I’m glad, however, that I listened to your warning about trying the plugin on a test site first, as it broke my current theme.

    I’ve been in contact with the theme developer. I hope they have a solution soon.

    ok. im such a newbie and have ZERO idea of why my pages wont show any text or images, other than on the main page and contact page. im a week late on getting this site up and running, so i need to get on this ASAP. any help would be appreciated – my email is pjkas2010 [at] gmail.
