Your database tables belonging to this plugin are not up-to-date.

Maybe you have a ‘security’ plugin that inhibits adding or modifying db tables.
De-activate your security plugins and de-activate / activate WP Photo ALbum Plus
    or run Photo Albums -> Settings -> Advanced settings -> Maintenance -> I -> Item 1: Setup

    There are my plugins:

I tried activate and deactivate plugin , but is does not help. I′m still unable to upload.
I also tried activation from advanced settings

    Can you create albums?
Do you have any photos in the wppa system or do you have the problem with the first upload?

Hi, I′he been using your plugin for 3 years, I have 120 Albums and many photos in it.
Problem starts after recent update, but Im not sure about which update exactly.

Now I′m unable to create a new album and upload new images. Old images and albums work fine but Im also unable to comment photos.

To verify if your db tables are ok and up-to-date, do the following:

Go to Advanced settings -> I: System constants.
Download items 1 and 2: Album and Photo db table as csv file.

Inspect them using a text editor.

The first line of the album table should read (the sequence of the itmes may differ, but look if they all are present):

    id,name,description,a_order,main_photo,a_parent,p_order_by,cover_linktype,cover_linkpage,cover_link,owner,timestamp,modified,upload_limit,alt_thumbsize,default_tags,cover_type,suba_order_by,views,cats,scheduledtm,custom,crypt,treecounts,wmfile,wmpos,indexdtm,sname,zoomable,displayopts,upload_limit_tree,scheduledel,status,max_children,rml_id,usedby

The first line of the photo table should read (also sequence not important):

    id,album,ext,name,description,p_order,mean_rating,linkurl,linktitle,linktarget,owner,timestamp,status,rating_count,tags,alt,filename,modified,location,views,clicks,page_id,exifdtm,videox,videoy,thumbx,thumby,photox,photoy,scheduledtm,scheduledel,custom,stereo,crypt,magickstack,indexdtm,panorama,angle,sname,dlcount,thumblock,duration,rml_id,usedby,misc

    Thread Starter nechtej

    (@nechtej)

Hi, this is the first line:

    id,name,description,a_order,main_photo,a_parent,p_order_by,cover_linktype,cover_linkpage,owner,timestamp,modified,upload_limit,alt_thumbsize,default_tags,cover_type,suba_order_by,views,cats,scheduledtm,custom,crypt,treecounts,wmfile,wmpos,indexdtm,sname,zoomable,displayopts,upload_limit_tree,scheduledel,status,cover_link,max_children,rml_id

    the second:

    id,album,ext,name,description,p_order,mean_rating,linkurl,linktitle,linktarget,owner,timestamp,status,rating_count,tags,alt,filename,modified,location,views,clicks,page_id,exifdtm,videox,videoy,thumbx,thumby,photox,photoy,scheduledtm,scheduledel,custom,stereo,crypt,magickstack,indexdtm,panorama,sname,dlcount,thumblock,duration,angle,rml_id

It looks like usedby is missing and in photos is missing usedby and misc

    Plugin Author Jacob N. Breetvelt

    (@opajaap)

I did the following test on my dev site:
Using phpMyAdmin, i removed columns usedby and misc from the photos db table an verifierd they were gone.

    Then i ran Advanced settings -> Maintenance -> I -> Item 1: Setup, and they re-appeared.

So, when you run maintenance proc Setup, the db shgould be up-to-date.
If you have access to phpMyAdmin, you can add them manually

If not successful: Ask your hosting provider why you can no longer add columns to data bases.

    Hi again,

sorry for the delay, I tried to add columns to table album with no luck, see screen bellow, sorry its not in english:

Change the data types mediumtext to text

If not enough, you can also change text to tinytext for a few items like timestamp, modified, scheduledtm etc, but not for custom and description

After changes made, do the setup from the settingspage or de- and re-activate the plugin, or try to add the missing columns again

    It works! Thank You

Good! I will automatically change the datatypes (more than just the ones you did manually) to make them take less space, when upgrading to the next version, to prevent this kind of issues in the future.
