• I’d like to upload images from computer. When I do it this note appears: The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/a8527793/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/03. I also have a folder with jpg that I want to upload and when I select this directory the same note appears. I even set chmod the directory to 777 permission but nothing has changed.

  • Change the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    With permissions everything is clear to me. But I want to know where should the uploaded file be?

    There is an option at Admin → Settings → Miscellaneous to choose an folder for uploded files. The default is /wp-content/uploads

    I am having a huge problem and i am lost on how to fix it! I am trying to insert an image into an article like i have always done b4 – but today as i click on the image to load – it pops up with my wordpress login menu asking me to sign in?? i go ahead and sign in and it then asks if i am sure i want to do this? and then a clickable try again is below that – i click that and nothing happens and it returns me to the insert image screen.

    It also applies to when i try to insert images into a gallery – it’ll go through the motions of loading the images but again the login menu will show up and none of the images will load to the galery.

    My site was working fine yesterday – and the only thing i have added that is new – is a page that has my amazon store on it.

    What could possibly cause my image loading to act up like this?! Please help.

    UPDATE: It seems it mayb be flash related becuz i can insert an image using the browse function instead of the flash based uploader – but to do a gallery it’s all flash so i cant bypass that at all.

    But my flash is up to date in my computer so what else could be the issue?!

    When I click on “Add an image” in dashboard, what tab will I choose: from computer or from URL? I tried both ways but it didn’t work ??

    I’m also having the same problem, I tried all the suggestions and the problem persists.
    HELP ??

    The error message: Missing a temporary folder

    When I click on “Add an image” in dashboard, what tab will I choose: from computer or from URL?

    From computer->picture is on your computer, you want to upload it

    from URL->picture is already online…either you’ve uploaded or its on another website, and you have the URL for it

    The error message: Missing a temporary folder

    sometimes this can be a host issue. Dou you have a tmp folder on your host? I had to create one (make it writeable) and put the following line in a php.ini file

    upload_tmp_dir = /home/content/r/v/o/rvoodoo/html/tmp
