Upload Images to Child Theme or Original Theme for Post Slider?

Lastly, I would like to know which Theme folder to upload the photos for a Child Theme. I noticed that the navigation to the file manager image folder for the sliders in the Child Theme are pointing to the original Theme image folder. I uploaded my photos to the original Theme and they do appear in the Child Theme.
