Upload location

I’m testing this plugin and currently the file lands in the directory ‘uploads/2015/01/’. Is there a way to redefine where they land? (i.e. ‘uploads/purpose_A/’?
Going forward, when the ‘limit uploads to category/post type’ feature is added it’d be great if each one could be pointed to a different directory.
