• Hello, I am recently experiencing this issue where clicking on “upload a new file” in Media actually downloads the old file to my machine. I have cleared cache both locally and on CDN (Cloudflare) prior to trying. The site uses Smush, Hummingbird and Async Javascript (Async disabled for EMR all together).

I love EMR and use it on all my projects. On other sites with similar set-up, I don’t get this behaviour. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Stan,

I have 2 questions for you:
    1) If you deactivate Smush, Hummingbird and Async Javascript, does the issue still happen?
    2) Do you reproduce the issue with all your images or only one?

    Thanks,

    Hi Gerard,

    Thanks for the suggestions.
Unfortunately deactivating the plugins did not change the behaviour.
This happens on all images I try to replace.

I can’t think of a reason as I have similar setup on different project, where I don’t get that issue.

One thing I know, this server doesn’t have the Imagick PHP module. Would it affect?

    Good morning Stan,

I am not sure about that. I think the best we could now is to take a look at your site by ourselves. Could you please email us here and mention this conversation?

    Thank you,

    Hello,
I had the same issue and, in my case, it was caused by an incopatibility with the “WooCommerce Product Attachment” plugin. Right now I just deactivated that plugin, but I actually need both of them, so if you can check and try to fix the problem it would be great =)

    Thank you

    Hi Kiway!

Thanks for letting us know this incompatibility! Could you please contact their developers so they can check the issue on their end?

    Thank you,

Please notify if the incompatibility is solved.

    Thank you.
