Upload New Media to an external filesystem with FTP

I’m a newbee to WP and have an issue thats driving me nuts. We have been asked to install WP for a https://www.mymusicjournal.com. Installation worked fine and several plugins added.

The problem is that the site wants all file uploads to be stored on an external filesystem (ie. outside their domain similar to a cloud device) rather than on the local server. The service they have chosen requires the files to be uploaded via FTP. So, I have snooped thru Upload New Media and around the blogs to findout if there is a plugin that will allow me to put a file onto a FTP server with limited success.

I was wondering if anyone has succesfully ftp’d files from WP and maintained the integrity of the path structure so those files can be executed/viewed, deleted, etc.
